Rodeo Announcer Zeb Bell

Zeb Bell

Born in the small town of Holyoke, Colorado, Barry was raised on a wheat farm in southwest Nebraska where he tended dairy cattle. He graduated high school in Imperial Nebraska and studied biology at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. Barry started rodeo as a bullfighter at the age of 19. He was asked to step in for an injured bullfighter at a rodeo and what started as a temporary job grew into a career of bullfighter and rodeo clown. Barry was in the barrel for the 1991 Mountain States Circuit Finals, 1993 Montana Circuit Finals, 1995 Prairie Circuit Finals, 1998 Columbia River Circuit Finals and 2000 Wilderness Circuit Finals.

Over the last 30 years, Barry has also created a second career as a wildlife artist. He has won numerous state and national awards for his work.

Barry now resides in North Platte, Nebraska, and credits his wife, Sheila, for keeping his life organized. Their son, Cody, is a physician's assistant and their daughter Renee is a respiratory therapist.
