Rodeo Clown Nate Reed

Professional Rodeo Clown/Barrel Man

nate reed

I have been involved in rodeo for the past 17 years. My rodeo career started as a junior rodeo and high school bull rider when I was 16 years old. I knew fast this was not going to turn into a long successful career for me. That’s why in 1996 I set out to become a bull fighter. I attended a bull fighting school being taught by professional bull fighter Luke Kraut. I fought bulls for 13 years all over the southwest. In 2009 I suffered a serious leg injury working a hang up at a rodeo. Due to the injury it permanently side lined me from ever being able to fight bulls again. Instead of looking at the injury as a defeat or as if it crippled me from the sport of rodeo that has given me so much, I just redirected my focus and energy on becoming a professional rodeo clown/barrel man. With the help from my wonderful family and friends and blessings from God, I was blessed to receive my PRCA card in 2011 after passing evaluation from my peers. In 2011 I was also honored to have worked some PBR Touring Pros and work beside some of rodeos all time greats, it was a truly blessed year. I pride myself on Bringing Energy, Family Fun & Excitement to every performance. I try and make sure every fan in the stands from ages 1 to 100 leave the rodeo with a smile on their face, it’s about family fun.

I am originally from a small town called Canon City, CO. My wonderful wife Tabie of 10 years, my 8 year old daughter Tarah and myself have called Buckeye, AZ home for the past 9 years. I feel my wife and I are blessed to be able to raise our daughter and have her involved in rodeo and the western way of life. If there is one thing I hope you remember after reading this it is, “To always have faith, believe in yourself and keep striving to become the best you can be.”
